Priority areas include: family violence and other aspects of family law; homelessness, eviction, and housing subsidies; all aspects of public benefits including Medicaid, SNAP (Food Stamps), GA/SAGA, TANF, and SSA/SSD/SSI; special education and other services for children with disabilities; elderly issues including nursing home, Medicaid, and consumer problems. Agency can assist undocumented immigrants.

Provides legal representation, brief service, and information in cases involving family violence, divorce, child support and other family matters; special education, and other services for children with disabilities; legal issues related to subsidized rental housing, eviction, and homelessness; representation for people being denied or terminated from public assistance, Social Security, SSI, or other publicly funded programs; employment related issues, and elder issues including Medicaid, nursing home, and consumer problems. Connecticut Legal Services does not represent clients in criminal matters. Services are free for eligible clients.
