Provides comprehensive medical and psychosocial care to children who may have experienced sexual abuse, physical abuse or neglect. Clinical care provided by the SCAN program includes: medical and psychosocial consultation and evaluation, consultation to community partners, psychosocial assessments, mental health counseling and advocacy for child victims and non-offending family members, short term intensive psychotherapy to address the trauma of child abuse and referrals to other specialists for ongoing mental health treatment and other recommended evaluations or treatments.
