Employment-related and training services for eligible youth ages 14-17 and adults ages 18 and over. Adult and dislocated worker services include assessment of skills and need for support services, as well as intensive services for unemployed individuals who have not been able to obtain and/or retain jobs through WIOA core services. All adults are eligible for core services; priority for intensive services is given to recipients of public assistance and other low income individuals. Youth services include tutoring and other educational supports, occupational skills training and mentoring, academic guidance and counseling, and summer employment. Youth services are for low income youth who meet at least one of six defined barriers to school completion or employment.

American Job Centers, (formerly CT Works One Stop Career Centers), offer all Connecticut job seekers career counseling, resume preparation assistance, job search support services, workshops, and access to a database of job postings. AJCs also refer eligible individuals to federally funded job training and intensive job search support services. Connecticut businesses also use the AJCs for employee recruiting, job training, and related support services. American Job Centers are a collaboration of state, regional, and local organizations addressing the workforce development needs of Connecticut. There are full-service and affiliate offices. The full-service offices offer locations where Veterans Representatives are located, although appointments can be made to meet in other offices.
