Program provides training in the manufacturing workforce. Application is available online. Program generally lasts 5 weeks and participants should be able to get into entry-level manufacturing jobs once they have completed training. Check website for current dates and locations of program. Training is free.

Workforce development board for the South Central Region administers state and federal job training and employment funds for programs for adults and youth who want to enter or return to the job market. Includes career advisement, training assistance, job development. Business Services unit serves employers through recruitment events, candidate screening, and hiring incentives. Services are provided at American Job Centers in New Haven, Hamden, Meriden and Middletown.
