AmeriCares Free Clinics are staffed by both medical and non-medical volunteers. Medical volunteers (nurses, MAs and EMTs, must hold a current Connecticut license). All physicians should be board-certified in internal, family or emergency medicine. Non-medical volunteers provide eligibility screenings, Spanish and Portuguese interpreting, and administrative support. There is a full time Nurse Director at each site.

AmeriCares Free Clinics in Bridgeport, Danbury, Norwalk and Stamford provide free outpatient health care services to low income, uninsured patients who reside in the towns surrounding each clinic. All four clinics see patients ages 18 and over. Patients must call to schedule an appointment and to determine eligibility.
