Correctional halfway houses for ex-offenders either on parole, probation, in a work release program or at end of sentence. Connection House/ Cochegan House/Roger Sherman House/Sierra Work Release program accepts males only, 18+. Reach program for both male and females, ages 18+ and pregnant women accepted. Program provides substance abuse recovery assistance and education and job search assistance.

Behavioral health services agency offers residential and outpatient services for alcohol and drug addiction. Additional services and programs include mental health care, housing assistance, therapeutic foster care, alternative sentencing programs, ex-offender services, counseling for sexual offenders, shelter for adult men and women who are homeless, and special substance abuse treatment programs for pregnant women and women with children.
