SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Supported employment programs help people with disabilities to find and keep employment in the competitive labor force. Community based organizations such as local Associations for Retarded Citizens (ARCs), Goodwill Industries, the Mental Health Association of Connecticut and the Conn. Institute for the Blind provide supported employment services as well as other vocational supports.
COST
Services are provided at no cost to people with disabilities who receive services through one of the state agencies listed below.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE
Must have a disability that results in a significant barrier to employment and must need support services to find and retain employment in the competitive labor force
