FOODBORNE ILLNESS/FOOD POISONING
INFORMATION ABOUT FOODBORNE ILLNESSES
General information about food poisoning and foodborne illnesses can be found on a Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Fact Sheet (http://www.ct.gov/dcp/cwp/view.asp?a=1621&Q=292866) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration website, http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~mow/foodborn.html.
IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE A FOODBORNE ILLNESS
Town health directors investigate possible incidents of foodborne illnesses. If you believe you have been made ill from consuming food or beverages from a food service facility, you should report the incident to your town of residence's health department (not to the health department in the town where the food service facility is located).
