FAMILY SUPPORT GRANT

The Connecticut State Department of Social Services and Department of Developmental Services grant subsidies help to defray the extraordinary expenses of parents or other eligible family members who are caring for a dependent child ages 0 through 17 with a disability. Families with children who have developmental disabilities apply to Department of Developmental Services; families with children with other disabilities apply to the Department of Social Services. This program has income restrictions.

This program is not an entitlement program; there is a waiting list.
