Outreach Teams

2-1-1 Regional offices continue to provide community outreach throughout the four regions of the state. Those liaison teams include a regional director and an early childhood specialist . Their primary responsibilities include:

Engaging in outreach and publicity activities that increase public awareness of 2-1-1 ’s services
Participating in community planning and problem solving activities utilizing 2-1-1 ’s resources and call data
Working on special projects for DSS and DPH
Serving as a direct link between local communities and 2-1-1 caseworkers who take the calls, and information staff who process the ever-changing information on health and human services

This last function is essential to providing a service that has a working knowledge of local services and issues.
