OVERSEAS TRAVEL: HEALTH INFORMATION AND TRAVEL VACCINATIONS
Connecticut residents interested in finding out more about health risks from international travel and/or specific immunizations required for overseas travel can contact one of several hospitals in Connecticut which have an International Traveler's Medical Service.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers information on health risks and immunization requirements for the international traveler. The CDC maintains a website featuring health information for travelers (www.cdc.gov/travel) and a Travelers' Health Information Line (877-FYI-TRIP) where callers can order "Health Information for International Travel" (also known as the Yellow Book) and hear recorded messages on travel related health topics.
