PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Child
Guidance Clinics offer outpatient behavioral
health services for children and families in
Connecticut, providing intensive and
comprehensive outpatient services to children
ages 0-18 and their families, regardless of
ability to pay. Clinics offer evaluation,
individual, family, and group counseling,
psychiatric services, parent guidance, parent
education, and parent support services. Each
clinic offers services that are tailored to meet
the needs in each community. Primary funding for
Child Guidance Clinics comes from the State of
Connecticut, with additional funding from
federal government, local United Ways, private
foundations, charitable donations, and other
community resources.
COST: All services are
available on a sliding fee scale;Ability to pay
is not an obstacle to treatment.
